For De Zwarte Ruyter, Rotterdam
The objective for Rotterdam based art center 'De Zwarte Ruyter' was to create a graphic identity that would be applied to a great variety of projects, such as exhibitions, lectures, film screenings and workshops amongst others. The graphic solution had to be recognisable as well as unique for each individual event and often with the premise of turning around visualizations within a short time frame.
A distinct typeface was chosen (Otik by Karl Nawrot) in combination with a clear set of rules that would allow for the spontaneity and creative flexibility needed.
